I am wondering, what exactly is an update?
Can someone explain that to me?
It seems that's what you are charging for?
An update basically counts whenever you transfer data from one place to another.
It's like Google Maps. We're the routing. The longer your distance or the more volume you transfer, the more costly it gets.
Thus, the more data you transfer, the more places you connect to each other, the more update quota is being used.
You can at any time upgrade or downgrade your account to match your current needs.
Let me know if that helped!
It does, thanks Bobby!
So, let me ask you:
Let's say I am consolidating 20 files from a folder.
Is this counting as 1 or 20 updates?
That would indeed count as 20 updates on a single run, yes!
Currently free users get 99 free updates a month.
The quota resets every 1st of the month.
If you need more, get a paid subscription that starts at 500 updates a month.
May consider a paid subscription then if I get past those 99 easily.
Does this mean if I update an excel spreadsheet with a bunch of data it only counts as 1 update as I'm only sending data from 1 file? Or is an update per data point?
jdsocialmedia indeed the first! If you just have one Excel source and send to one single destination, then every time you are updating the connection, it counts as one update. 🙂
