Release notes
Version 2.4.18 released on April 26, 2024
Management of workflow error notifications
The workflow notification system has been enhanced to offer user-level customization. Users can now choose from Immediate, Daily, Weekly (default), or No Error Notifications settings, applicable across all owned workflows. Additionally, this update introduces the option to select error severity levels for notifications and mute notifications for specific workflows. These features empower users to better manage and troubleshoot errors, leading to improved user experience and operational efficiency.
Immediate notifications: The system compiles all missed connections hourly, sending notifications for unique errors only. Subsequent errors are muted unless the error type changes, the connection is edited, or runs successfully.
Daily notifications: The system gathers missed connections daily, sending notifications for existing errors each day, regardless of previous notifications.
Weekly notifications (default): The system compiles missed connections weekly, sending notifications for existing errors each week, regardless of previous notifications.
No error notifications (not recommended): In this setting, all the notifications are muted until the user enables it, except for essential account authorization alerts.

IMPROVEMENTS
- Updated the API as a source to apply the Filter by Conditions on the response data.

- Updated the dashboard publishing process in Sheetgo to enhance user experience by removing the need for an explicit “Save” action; changes now auto-save to align with the behavior seen in workflow sharing and forms publishing settings, reducing inconsistencies and user frustration from unintended loss of settings adjustments.
- Adjusted the form submission behavior to include an error message near the submit button when mandatory questions are left unanswered, enhancing clarity for users and preventing confusion over the non-functioning submit button in long forms.
- Improved the feature ‘Reply-To’ email address, The update consolidates the ‘bcc’, ‘cc’, and ‘reply-to’ options into a single location, enhancing user experience and reducing confusion.
- Addressed issues encountered by users when attempting to open spreadsheets directly from the Workflow view on mobile devices and iPads, especially when the spreadsheets are hosted on Google Sheets.
- Updated the “try again” payment flow on the subscription page to enhance user experience.
HOTFIXES
- Fixed an issue that prevented users from receiving invoices via email despite having the option enabled in her account settings.
- Adjusted the behavior of the Left-join processor in two scenarios: 1) Ensured that when merging sheets with identical headers, the output correctly appends sheet-specific suffixes to similar column names without duplicating columns. 2) Fixed the issue where sheets with differing columns were merging vertically instead of horizontally, aligning the output with expected horizontal merge behavior as documented in help articles and videos.
- Fixed an issue where assigning manager credentials to a user for workflow sharing did not grant them access to the associated files as intended; implemented a permissions update to ensure that users with manager status have the correct file access rights.
- Fixed a critical issue where users encountered a “Sheetgo ran into a critical problem” error message when attempting to add a new destination to their connection. The issue was traced back to a compatibility problem involving Excel files on SharePoint linked to multiple destinations including CSV and Google Sheets files. System updates were applied to ensure stability and functionality when editing connections across these platforms.
- An issue was addressed where custom date formats in the source Google Sheets were not preserved after the transfer was completed. This lack of consistency in date format representation was problematic for users relying on specific date formats.
- Fixed an issue where users encountered an automatic scroll to the middle of the page when filling out a form with more than one page.
- Addressed the issue where data was not loading for a chart on the Dashboards page of the specified workflow.
- Fixed an issue where the dialog interface breaks during the workflow duplication when users press the “spacebar” key while typing a name for the new workflow.
- Fixed an issue where formatting applied to dashboard component descriptions was not retained in PDF exports. With this update, formatting in dashboard component descriptions is now accurately retained in PDF exports.
