Release notes
Version 2.4.23 released on Jun 10, 2024
Forms improvements
Several improvements were made to our forms enhancing user experience and functionality. These improvements were made focusing especially on the upload of files, to increase efficiency, and give clients more options on how to handle these files.
- Users can now submit files larger than 32MB through the forms, thanks to a new dedicated route for file uploads, optimizing payload size and system efficiency.
- Form owners can now specify custom destination folders for uploaded files, that will be located on the owner’s cloud drive, ensuring better accessibility and collaboration.
- Included rich text formatting in form descriptions and confirmation messages to improve visual presentation.
- Upgraded dropdown lists to allow users to clear their selections, enhancing data accuracy, especially for optional fields.
- Simplified the form publishing process by defaulting all published forms to allow anonymous responses, eliminating any confusion and streamlining user interactions.
Manager role
The permissions for the “Manager” role within our workflows have been updated to better meet user needs and simplify platform interaction. These changes provide Managers with greater flexibility and control, ensuring workflows are more aligned with operational requirements.
Managers now have enhanced capabilities to:
- Edit workflow triggers
- Adjust general access settings for better collaboration or restriction
- Modify failure settings to define system responses to errors.
IMPROVEMENTS
- Enhanced the email-sending functionality in Sheetgo so that when multiple comma-separated email addresses are entered in the “To” field, a single email is sent to all specified recipients in the same message thread, addressing issues of transparency, multiple conversation threads, and duplicate emails to “Cc” and “Bcc” addresses.
- Updated the Sheetgo billing cycle rules to ensure fairness when users upgrade their subscriptions. Now, the billing renewal date will adjust based on the latest subscription changes. This change aims to eliminate inconsistencies in quota reset cycles and improve satisfaction by providing a more transparent and equitable billing system.
- Updated Sheetgo’s Bar chart feature to include data labels when this option is enabled in the source Google Sheets chart. This enhancement ensures that the visualization within Sheetgo accurately reflects the chart configuration set by the user in Google Spreadsheets, enhancing readability and information clarity.
- Updated the mobile workflow menu to a single, consistent format. The new unified menu now includes the options: ‘Run workflow’, ‘Share’, ‘Trigger’, ‘Create connection’, ‘Edit information’, ‘Move to a folder’, and ‘Leave workflow’. This change simplifies user interaction by providing a straightforward and predictable menu structure, enhancing usability on mobile devices.
HOTFIXES
Fixed an issue where the connection builder briefly appeared and then closed after clicking the ‘Finish and Save’ button when establishing a connection with multiple files, ensuring a smooth transition to the correct screen.
Fixed an issue where column and line charts on dashboards failed to correctly render negative values, resulting in a “NaN” display upon mouse hover, ensuring accurate and meaningful data visualization for workflows involving negative numerical values.
Fixed an issue where workflows with active daily automation did not indicate that automation was enabled for users who have access but are not the owners, ensuring that all users with sufficient permissions can accurately see the automation status of a given workflow.
Fixed an issue preventing individual file sharing when the file is part of a shared drive, even if the user has the necessary permissions via Google Drive.
Fixed a bug in the archive workflow functionality where attempting to delete multiple workflows, including one with an activated schedule, caused the deletion dialog to display text with props.
Fixed an issue where the quota count displayed was incorrect for users installed on the 30th and 31st of any month. This update ensures all users see accurate and reliable information about their available resources, preventing confusion and improving customer satisfaction by providing trustworthy data on their account usage.
Fixed an issue where adding a new chart to the dashboard was not possible, even after attempting multiple times. It was identified that the limitation was due to the maximum number of charts allowed per sheet. The cap has been adjusted to accommodate more charts, allowing this to be the 20th chart without issues.
Fixed an issue where transferring data from Google Sheets to Excel on SharePoint was causing an unknown error. This adjustment ensures a smooth workflow for users moving data across platforms, specifically from Google Sheets with multiple tabs to an Excel file hosted on SharePoint.
Fixed an issue where configuring a field to accept only numbers using regex on forms automatically made it a required field. This behavior has been adjusted so that fields can be set to accept only numeric input without being mandatory.
And many more performance and security updates… 🐛
