Workflow manager should be authorized to change automation trigger settings

Hi,

Due to the latest update of sheetgo me and my teammates are not able to schedule the workflows anymore. Only the workflow owner can do this. We really need this option because once a month we need to schedule the workflows to a new date. Before the update it was possible for us to schedule the workflows. Does somebody know how we can schedule the workflows when you are not the owner?

I reached out to the support team to ask about this change too that was made recently.

They explained that was made due to a recurring complaint from some owners. But in the end, this gave me some guarantee, it keeps my settings the way they are supposed to be and prevents my workflows from being deleted by mistake by others.

You are correct, we have recently changed this rule due to some users having their quota used without their awareness, which could be considered a security flaw in terms of users’ consent.

To elaborate, if a user creates multiple workflows and shares them with their team, it is possible for team members to create connections and schedule workflows on the user’s behalf without their knowledge. This could lead to the user’s paid transfer credits being used up without them being aware of it. With the current set of permissions, we can ensure that only the owner of the license and the owner of the workflow can set up actions that trigger charges.
