How to enter extra credit in Google Sheets Gradebook?

Hey there,

I’m using the grade book for google sheets and im wondering how I can enter something as extra credit? The grade book only lets me enter percentages between 50 and 100 (this is annoying for other reasons…at my school in Mongolia the grading system puts F at 20 percent so I can’t even enter those grades properly.) But I need to enter a certain assignment as extra credit without penalizing the students who didn’t do it. Any ideas for how?

For the extra credit, it would be best to add a new column between columns D and E. Make sure to include some formulas to calculate the values in the new column. Also, double-check the master sheet to ensure that the formulas are pointing to the correct column.

The link to the data validation article unfortunately pulled up a page that didn’t exist. Could you try linking it again?

And with the extra column…I’m afraid I’m not literate enough in formulas to know what exactly you meant there. What kinds of formulas should I add? And how would I make sure it is all calculated correctly?

I thought of a new column with the credits and then on the TOTAL collum you “Sum” the value.
The trick is to do this in every class so the sheets are the same in terms of columns.
